Thank You - On behalf of everyone who
owns one of these amplifiers, a
contribution has been made to the River
Partners!
The River Partners was founded in 1998 as a non-profit corporation based in Chico, California.
Their mission is to create wildlife habitat for the benefit of people and the environment. Take a
look at an excellent example in the three pictures below of how the River Partners have helped to
restore a portion of land near the Sacramento River. You can see how the land has developed from
the period of 1999 to 2001.
The term Riparian refers to the special ecosystems near the banks of rivers and streams. These areas are
repeatedly flooded. It is estimated that over 225 birds, mammals, and reptiles depend on California's
Riparian habitats.
When a Riparian habitat is restored, there are several benefits. In a river, flood control is improved, and
banks are stabilized. The wildlife also benefits due to the increased habitat connectivity, and overall quality.
Humans receive improved water and air quality. Recreation and economic opportunities are also created.
